Certified Yoga Teacher BDY/EYU

I have spent the last 23 years trying to understand and incorporate the teachings of yoga into my daily life. Along the way, I have been very blessed to learn from so many amazing beings, none more important than the other, and all at the exact moment I needed the teachings.

Having a background as a professional dancer meant for a very organic transition into the Asana practice of yoga, at the same time making it challenging to see past the physical experience and into the depth of the practice at first.

My relationship with yoga was first transformed during my teacher`s training education at the Sivananda Ashram in the Bahamas (2000.) This experience opened the door to a lifestyle, a spiritual practice. Allowing me a deep connection to source and nature.

Truly transformational moments happened during my four-year education with Doris Echlin (yogakademie). My pre/postnatal studies with Dyan Tada, and my Well Woman Yoga therapy studies with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli brought a very important feminine aspect to my teaching and practice. My experience with Vipassana Meditation (Mont Soleil Schweiz) gave me the anchoring I needed to continue my journey.

I constantly continue to search and expand my understanding of “being” in other fields of bodywork, ethics, and science, among them; Mayan abdominal self-care (Gloria de Gast), Biodynamic Cranial-sacral therapy (Friedrich Wolfe), work with Shamanism, and an absolutely transformational education in Herbalism (Melanie Küpfer and Steven Wolf .)

My newest addition to my toolbox is Lymph drainage. I am currently studying to become a certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage therapist. This gentle practice has become an amazing addition to my movement practice, offering the space to deeply relax and connect to my body with awareness and touch.

I see our time on this amazing planet as a great opportunity to become our authentic Selves and recognize all practices of honing awareness and connecting to nature (Self-included) as tools to support us in living more authentic lives.

I am a mother, medicinal plant lover, and health foodie. I love to dance until my face turns red and sit still until my legs fall asleep. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to share my curiosity and love of yoga, and all things rooted in awareness, with others.

I offer one-to-one sessions that I call Soma Sessions, where I like to combine all of the different and highly effective healing modalities I have learned over the past years.

My classes are accepted by most insurance companies. I teach in English.
